Mr and Mrs Pate Surprise Tarbert!

A few of the photos from a lovely wee Christening and surprise wedding in Tarbert.

There were a lot of very surprised faces in the church as the couple hadn't told anybody about the wedding!

Slate, Sea and Wellies - Colin and Rosie's Wedding on Easdale Island

Easdale? Where?
Easdale is a slate island in the Firth of Lorn, Scotland. Only accessible by a small passenger ferry from the main land, this was once the centre of the Scottish slate industry. No cars, beautiful scenery, great pub and lovely people.

Colin and Rosie are the first couple to be married on the island in 10 years. Having seen first hand how beautiful Easdale is I was very shocked by this. You would struggle to find a setting more picturesque and perfect for a wedding.

I had great fun shooting this wedding and the rain held off just long enough for the ceremony and for us to get some cracking photos outside.  Colin and Rosie are a lovely couple who were very relaxed and a good laugh, making me and my assistant Rosie feel very welcome. Oh, and did i mention it was a Wellie boot theme? Brilliant!

Discovering the East Coast - Kinnoull Hill

Since moving up to Dundee, Kinnoull hill is still one of my favourite places. There is a folly of a ruined castle that dominates the top. This folly is standing on the rocky cliffs high above the River Tay and the road to Dundee. The panoramic image bellow is the view seen from the tower.

I really hope that I get the chance to do a few family portraits here soon! It is such a beautiful woodland!
