Discovering the East Coast - Kinnoull Hill

Since moving up to Dundee, Kinnoull hill is still one of my favourite places. There is a folly of a ruined castle that dominates the top. This folly is standing on the rocky cliffs high above the River Tay and the road to Dundee. The panoramic image bellow is the view seen from the tower.

I really hope that I get the chance to do a few family portraits here soon! It is such a beautiful woodland!

BMW | Mock Commercial

I have been having fun with some car photos recently! I just had an urge to try and create a dramatic product photo that could also be used as poster artwork. So I brought the car out to Crinan Ferry, Argyll.
With my studio lights and a flash gun I aimed to create some nice lines, flowing with the car, but at the same time retaining shadow to add a bit of atmosphere and depth.  Thank you to Scott McPherson for lending me his beautiful BMW . I was incredibly sad when I had to give it back and return to my wee Ford Focus haha.

Here is the first photo, aiming to just be sleek and with plenty of shadows;

I then retook the photo adding the 5 extra lights to give it a bit more punch!
